BONNIE BASKINbegan studying with Jamie Miller in 1994, and has marked many of life's transitions (birth, death, celebration, loss) using "Bellydance as Ritual Performance." In addition to co-teaching and performing with the Sabah Ensemble, she is also a single mom, a practicing Buddhist, a volunteer of time and care with the elderly and confined, and she enjoys expressing her creativity through fiber arts. |
KAREN CHINKaren Chin has enjoyed dancing all her life - one of her earliest memories is doing The Twist to the music of Chubby Checker - and has been performing with the Sabah Ensemble since 1982. Karen is also a painter who received her MFA from UC Berkeley. |

MICHELLE SUWCZINSKYis a performer and co-teacher with the Sabah Ensemble. These experiences allow her to further grow, refine, and discover in her dance, as well as providing a medium for grounding and self-exploration in her daily life. Michelle began her journey into body alignment work and healthy dance movement as part of her work with Jamie "Sabah" Miller in 1991, almost 20 years ago. The experience continues to feed and inform her. |
